Tasting notes
From Dark Arts Coffee
"Washed Pink Bourbon from Palestina in Huila. Blood orange, apricot, Earl Grey tea. The Pink Bourbon varietal brings an unusual floral delicacy to what is typically a fruit-forward profile — clean, structured, and surprisingly refined from a roaster not known for restraint."
Cuppd note
Dark Arts built their reputation on a certain aesthetic — black packaging, post-punk references, East London attitude. The coffee underneath it has always been serious, and Eternal Light is a case in point. Pink Bourbon in Huila's Palestina municipality is one of the more sought-after micro-lot pairings in Colombian specialty right now.
"Earl Grey" as a tasting note is doing real work here — it's a shorthand for bergamot aromatics without the bitterness. The washed process keeps it precise rather than sweet. The blood orange and apricot body sits under a perfumed, tea-like top note cleanly.
Note on espresso: Eternal Light is a filter-first coffee. Pulled at a longer ratio (1:2.5–3) with lower temperature (90–91°C) and a finer grind than usual, it can produce something extraordinary — but it won't behave like a conventional espresso-roast Colombia. A learning curve worth taking.

About the roaster
Dark Arts Coffee
East London specialty roaster. Known for strong alt/varietal/region metadata despite the punk aesthetic. Better sourcing transparency than the branding suggests.

About the origin
Colombia Coffee
One of the most exciting origins in specialty right now. The Pink Bourbon wave, high-altitude micro-lots, and experimental fermentation are happening here first.
